Plus Ultra Seguros sponsors the “Sports without adjectives” initiative, organized by the Spanish Sports Federation for Persons with Physical Disabilities

"The insurance company sponsored the event, the aim of which is to raise awareness of the barriers people with disabilities face on a day-to-day basis and to increase community inclusion."

Plus Ultra Seguros has demonstrated its commitment to the Spanish Sports Federation for Persons with Physical Disabilities (FEDDF) with its sponsorship of the open air event "Sports without adjectives" for the second consecutive year. The sports day, held in Madrid on 13 October, aims to raise awareness of the barriers people with disabilities face on a day-to-day basis and to increase community inclusion.

Madrid's Paseo del Prado was the venue for a variety of adapted sports, as played by athletes with disabilities, such as archery, slalom, volleyball, cycling, boccia, basketball, fencing, table tennis, badminton, football and hockey. As well as being a fun, entertaining day, participants were able to strengthen the values associated with the practice of sport, such as team work and a sense of achievement.

Luis Vallejo, Managing Director for Commerce for Plus Ultra Seguros was present again this year at the event. He took advantage to highlight the main aim of the initiative; "inclusion and raising awareness, which, together with community integration, are values also shared by Plus Ultra Seguros".

Long term collaboration

Plus Ultra Seguros' collaboration with this initiative is another example of the company's relationship with the FEDDF, beginning in 2017 with the sponsorship of the European wheelchair basketball championship. The company also sponsored the King's Cup of Wheelchair Basketball in 2018.
