GCO Appoints Daniel Halpern to Board of Directors

On 26 September, GCO’s Board of Directors approved the appointment of Daniel Halpern as a new proprietary director of the Group.  This decision was made during the first Board meeting following the passing of Federico Halpern in August, who was a member of the GCO Board of Directors and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Fundación Occident.

Daniel Halpern (Barcelona, 1975) holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio and an MBA from IE Business School. He has also completed the Programme for Board Members at ESADE Business School and the Advanced Management Programme at IESE Business School. With a professional career spanning over two decades, he has extensive experience in the technology sector, having worked for prestigious companies in the telecommunications industry.

Following his appointment, GCO’s Board of Directors will consist of nine members. This size is intended to ensure adequate flexibility and agility in decision-making. It is worth recalling that GCO applies practically all of the recommendations of the Code of Good Governance of Listed Companies of the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), as well as advanced practices in corporate governance.
