15th Fundación Jesús Serra Ski Trophy has record participation levels

"The Fundación Jesús Serra Ski Trophy, held in an innovative format at the Baqueira Beret ski station, reached a record 240 participants. "

The 15th traditional Ski Trophy held in the Aranese resort recorded its highest ever number of entries, with 240 participants, adding a lively atmosphere to a spectacular new parallel event at night, with even more participants when the master's and training categories were included.

Training is one of the main themes of the championship and grants worth €15,000 were awarded to the top three male and female skiers under the age of 25. The winners of these Training Grants were Aura Coronado, Bruna Suau and Carla Barata in the women's classification, while Conrad Sastre, Sergi Piguillem and Isidre Sans came first, second and third on the men's podium.

Participants enjoyed a full, intense day of Alpine skiing with incredible weather conditions. Early in the morning, the Giant Slalom took place in the Beret Stadium. Ramón Mirabet then gave a concert accompanied by an aperitif at the Beret café, at the end of which the Giant Slalom awards ceremony took place, followed by a grand prize draw in which lucky participants received gifts from our partners Salomon, Kustom skis, Coolrooms, Conselh Generau d'Aran and Isdin.

A new feature of this edition was that the whole competition, Giant and Parallel, was held on a single day, the different categories of the Parallel Slalom being completed at night.

The 8 best men's and women's times in categories U14 and U16 were part of the Training category. The winners of the Parallel Slalom were Lola Jimenez, Ines Fiol and Alicia Balada in the women's event, while the male podium was occupied by Diego Lopez, Ibai Santos and Victor Perez.

In the Masters category, for skiers over 25 years old, those with the 8 best times qualified to compete in the parallel event. The winners in the women's category were Anna Esteve, Sara Ramentol and Maria Martinez. Antxon Isus, José Solá and David Mora were the winners in the male category.

Finally, the 16 best male and female times in the U18 to 25-year-old categories were awarded Fundación Jesús Serra grants.

The Vice-president of Fundación Jesús Serra, Laura Halpern, thanked all the competitors and helpers for their participation and commitment and expressed her gratitude for the support of Baqueira Beret and the Naut Aran Town Council, which made it possible to organise the event in the best possible conditions.
