Grupo Catalana Occidente once again the top sponsor of Starlite

"The insurance group will put its name to Europe's top boutique festival for the third year in a row, reaffirming its commitment to music and culture"

Grupo Catalana Occidente has renewed its sponsorship agreement with Starlite and will again be the main sponsor of the festival in 2022. The insurance group is thus reaffirming its commitment to music and will continue to support Europe's biggest boutique festival: Starlite Catalana Occidente.

Through this collaboration, the Group will continue to focus on its goal of promoting culture through a headline event. "Two years collaborating with Starlite has been a highly positive experience. Grupo Catalana Occidente wants music to continue to be a key part of our sponsorship strategy, because it connects people with their emotions, offers us security, encourages us and comforts us. Music, like trust, makes the world a better place, and in difficult times such as those we are living through, it is more important than ever", says María José Álvarez, Deputy General Manager and Director of Innovation, Marketing and Business Development at Grupo Catalana Occidente.

Álvarez emphasised that, in addition to the festival being widely recognised as an event with live music, Starlite Catalana Occidente offers unique experiences in an unbeatable setting. The Group has brought music to the insurance professionals and customers of Seguros Catalana Occidente, Plus Ultra Seguros, Seguros Bilbao and NorteHispana Seguros. Specifically, between 18 June and 4 September, the group invited more than 550 brokers and customers to the festival, to enjoy 57 live concerts. The insurance group also wanted to show its support and recognition for the work that the festival is doing with the charity Gala Starlite.

The Starlite Group also looks upon the collaboration between the two entities positively. Its director of Sponsorship, Amaya García, remarked that "forming an alliance with a leading insurance group such as Grupo Catalana Occidente, which has the backing and commitment of millions of customers, is a recognition of our efforts to support culture and the music industry."

Starlite Catalana Occidente 2021

The festival had top musicians on its billing, such as Raphael, Ella Baile Sola, José Luis Perales, Aitana, Pablo López and David Bisbal, among many others. The festival brought together more than 160,000 festival goers, who enjoyed 180 shows and the best national and international artists.

For another year, Starlite Catalana Occidente offered a unique leisure and culture experience in an unparalleled space such as La Cantera de Nagüeles (Marbella), across nearly three months. The programme included options for all audiences, ages and musical tastes. Aware of the positive impact that music has on people, and the damage that the music industry is suffering from the effects of Covid-19, this year Starlite Catalana Occidente tickets offered special pricing to help bring music to the world.
