Occident and Professional Association of Insurance Brokers of Madrid sign partnership agreement to drive brokerage services in the region

"The agreement further cements the relationship between the two organisations and targets the professional development of brokers to deliver excellence in the industry."

Occident and the Professional Association of Insurance Brokers of Madrid have inked a partnership agreement which steps up their commitment to the professionalisation of the sector and the development of insurance brokers. It will make it possible to enhance training, innovation and recognition of the broker's role.

Under the agreement, Occident joins the Association's sponsor group. This will result in numerous initiatives including promoting the brand at events and in activities run by the Association, hosting information days for Association members on the company's products and services and publishing news about Occident in the Association's communication channels.

During the signing ceremony at the Association's head office, David Gil, Occident's Centre South Brokers Regional Director, said: “This agreement showcases our commitment to insurance brokers who are essential to ensure trust and build rapport with customers. Together with the Association, we seek to deliver tools and resources which power their growth and adaptation to new market needs.”

Elena Jiménez de Andrade Astorqui, Chair of the Professional Association of Insurance Brokers of Madrid, added: “The Association welcomes Occident's support as a guarantee of success and we are delighted to continue the cooperation we have always had with the insurer. Its unconditional commitment to insurance brokerage, especially in Madrid, means that Occident is a strategic partner for the Professional Association of Madrid and our Study Centre.”

This agreement underscores the significance of the partnership for developing the insurance sector and enhancing the role of brokers as a key player in insurance distribution in the Region of Madrid.

Madrid, a crucial region for Occident

The Madrid region accounts for a significant share of Occident's balance sheet. The insurer has 1,759 brokers in the region, representing 12% of its total network. Looking to the future, Occident plans to continue building on its presence in the region, bolstering partnerships with brokers to achieve sustained growth that will position Madrid as one of the main drivers of the insurance business.
