Occident, awarded for the quality and efficiency of the Data Processing Centre in its new offices in Madrid

Occident has been awarded the “Improving Connectivity” category at the DCM Awards 2025 by its Data Processing Centre (DPC), located in the company's new offices at Calle Álvaro Méndez 31, in Madrid. The prize, awarded at a ceremony last Thursday, 30 January, at the Palacio de Deportes de la Comunidad de Madrid, recognises the quality and efficiency of the data processing centre (DPC) installed in the insurance company's offices in the capital.

The project has an initial capacity of 250 kW, which can be extended to 500 kW, and integrates an advanced wiring system that guarantees high availability and reliability in the DPC's connectivity. Located on the 16th floor, its equipment is fully monitored and integrated with the building's management system (BMS), creating an advanced infrastructure that is fully interconnected to cover the insurance company's technological needs. In addition, its energy efficiency is optimised through air-conditioning solutions that ensure continuous operation, even during maintenance.

The DCM Awards are awards given by the Data Center Market media to recognise excellence in the world of data centers.

New branches in one of the neuralgic growth points

At the end of 2024, GCO transferred the people of its different business units to the new offices of Méndez Álvaro, a newly built building located in an area of great growth and dynamism in the capital of Madrid.
