Occident brings together more than 9,000 agents and brokers during one of its new Business Forums

A total of 9,000 brokers have met in the new online edition of the Occident Business Forums held on 11 and 12 February. This is a key annual meeting for the organisation in which the objectives of the new period are established; the strategy to be followed is defined; And the task carried out by the network of brokers last year is highlighted. In this edition, the first after integrating the corporate simplicity process, after NorteHispana Seguros has completed its integration into Occident, the insurer has drawn up a record of attendance, with approximately 6,000 agents and 3,000 brokers.
The CEO of Occident, Hugo Serra, opened the event with a speech in which he highlighted the main achievements of the 2022–2024 cycle, emphasising the corporate simplicity achieved and greater efficiency. “These achievements position us appropriately to prioritise growth in this new period 2025-2027,” he remarked. Serra also emphasised the ambition and objectives of the new strategic plan and highlighted the insurance company's strategy, based on three pillars: growth, return and solvency. During his speech, Serra also highlighted the work carried out by the network of Occident brokers over the past year, and highlighted as one of the company's priority objectives “the promotion of the commercial model and the growth of the distribution network.”
Following the intervention of Hugo Serra, the Commercial Director of Occident, Raúl Lucena, took the floor, which highlighted as its main objective the promotion of the commercial activity of the various distribution networks, using technology and training of brokers to satisfy the specific needs of clients.
For his part, the Life Director of Occident, Daniel Ciprés, highlighted the comprehensive savings solution with attractive returns offered by Occident, designed to adapt to the needs of clients. In addition, he highlighted the complete protection package for family members, which covers life, death and health insurance, with the aim of guaranteeing their well-being and peace of mind at every stage of life.
The Business Forums also included the participation of the Director of General Insurance of Occident, Josep Esclusa, who highlighted the Occupational Home insurance as one of the most complete and competitive on the market, and highlighted the services of the network of repairers and the AutoPresto de Occidente workshops, which have a high rating and satisfaction from clients.
Finally, the General Operations Director of GCO, Xavier Fontanet, emphasised the importance of focusing on a deep understanding of clients in order to adapt to their needs and become an efficient and competitive company. He also highlighted the digitalisation of processes as one of the main objectives of the insurance company.
