Occident offers free water-repellent treatment to promote road safety among its insured parties

"Occident customers who have taken out car insurance with vehicle glass cover will be able to benefit from this promotion until 30 November 2024."

Like every autumn, Occident is launching a preventive safety campaign offering its customers the chance to have a free rain repellent treatment on their vehicle windscreens. It consists of a protective film applied to the glass that repels water (hydrophobic effect), improving visibility on rainy days and, therefore, improving the safety of its insured parties.

To benefit from this promotion, insured parties must contact Occident's customer service centre (917 83 83 83), where they will be provided with a promotional code and information on the nearest associated workshops where they can have the treatment applied.

The effect of this treatment lasts for approximately 12 months or 20,000 kilometres, depending on the weather conditions. In addition to improving visibility, the treatment offers additional protection to the windscreen, preventing the accumulation of dirt, lime, dust and deposits, and reducing the risk the glass freezing in cold climates.

With this action, Occident reaffirms its commitment to the safety of its insured parties, offering solutions that improve their driving experience and that reinforce safety measures on the road. This promotion is applicable to passenger cars, minivans, off-road vehicles and passenger vans for personal use.

Occident strengthens its commitment to safer mobility

Occident demonstrates its commitment to road safety with various free campaigns throughout the year, designed to protect its customers. Apart from its well-known rain repellent campaign, Occident launched a free vehicle inspection campaign this summer, with the aim of preventing breakdowns and accidents over that period of the year when there is an increase in traffic, aimed at more than 1.3 million insured parties with private vehicles such as passenger cars, minivans, off-road vehicles and vans.

Furthermore, Occident offers the Emergency e-car service free of charge to customers who renew their car policy, and which is already used by more than 13,500 customers. This service includes the eCall system, which automatically calls the Emergency services in the event of a collision, significantly reducing response times and improving attention in critical situations. Customers also rate the Find My Car feature, which helps them find their vehicle when they don't remember where they parked it. With these technological solutions, Occident reaffirms its commitment to the safety and well-being of its insured parties, offering solutions that improve their driving experience and reinforce safety measures on the road.
