Occident renews its commitment to the Catalan Cycling Federation

"The insurer is to collaborate with the Catalan company's sports project for the next three years"

Occident has renewed its commitment to the Federació Catalana de Ciclisme (Catalan Cycling Federation) for the next three years, with the aim of promoting this sport and supporting the work of the more than 700 clubs that make up this institution that has more than 16,000 federation members.

The agreement between both entities includes the incorporation of the Occident logo in different spaces and digital media of the Catalan Cycling Federation, such as the website, digital newsletters, social networks, classifications and other communications issued by the Federació.

The CEO of Occident, Juan Closa, and the president of the Catalan Federació de Ciclime, Joaquim Vilaplana, have institutionalised the agreement. In the words of Juan Closa: "At Occident, we firmly believe in sport because of its ability to unite communities and promote values such as effort, dedication and teamwork. Our sponsorship of the Federació not only reflects our support for cyclists, but also our commitment to promoting an active and healthy lifestyle".

For his part, Joaquim Vilaplana stated: "It is a great honour to have the support of a brand that shares our values and our vision for the future of cycling. The collaboration with Occident will allow us to continue carrying out projects to promote the growth of cycling in Catalonia”.

The Federació Catalana de Ciclisme has a trajectory of more than 100 years in the development and promotion of cycling in Catalonia. The company has been key for the training of young talent and the organisation of events that have put Catalonia on the international cycling map. With this sponsorship, Occident reaffirms its commitment to the community and to sport, and hopes that this collaboration will inspire more people to discover the passion for cycling and to incorporate healthy habits into their daily lives.

Occident, committed to sport

Over the years, Occident has shown its firm commitment to the cultural and sports sector, through numerous collaborations with a diverse cross-section of organisations. In the field of sport, the company renewed its collaboration agreements with the Bilbao-Basket, Miribilla Cycling, UE Sant Cugat and Bàsquet Manresa clubs, as well as the Bera-Bera sports club women's handball team in San Sebastián. In April, it also sponsored the 71st edition of the Conde de Godó Trophy, the renowned tennis tournament that forms part of the ATP Tour 500, which is held in Barcelona.
