Customer account: the Occident solution to complement its customers' savings and payment of personal insurance
4/9/25 | Occident
"Customers who take out one of the company’s savings products will be able to group and pay their personal insurance policies in instalments without any additional charges."
Occident presents the Customer Account, which allows you to combine savings products with the management of personal insurance, offering greater convenience without incurring additional charges for paying policy premiums in instalments, and providing access to exclusive advantages.
With this proposal, insured parties who take out one of the company's life savings products, or who already hold savings products with the company, will be able to combine the payment of their personal insurance policies and those of any member of their household into a single monthly instalment. In addition, the Customer Account comes with an extra benefit: A discount equivalent to the first monthly instalment of each grouped policy.
This method of managing payments, which has been highly rated by customers in the past, now includes new features that offer greater flexibility when taking out policies. This way, customers with regular savings can also enjoy the advantages offered by the Customer Account.
The main savings products that allow customers to group and combine their Occident personal insurance policies into a single monthly payment are:
- Growing Savings, a flexible savings insurance policy that adapts to each customer's savings needs and offers guaranteed returns on medium- and long-term savings.
- Capital Savings, designed for customers who do not wish to take any investment risk and are looking for occasional savings through the payment of supplementary premiums. The product offers a guaranteed interest rate for a period of 1 year. After this first year, the interest rate is fixed quarterly.
- Multi-fund Investment, a savings product that allows customers to diversify their investment across Occident’s funds, according to their preferences. In this case, the interest is linked to the returns generated by the selected funds. It also includes death coverage.
“At Occident, we work to offer solutions that make our customers’ day-to-day lives easier and adapt to their needs,” says Daniel Ciprés, Life Insurance Director at Occident. "With this solution, we are taking a further step in that direction: not only do we make it easier to pay in instalments, but we also offer a tool that allows customers to plan their savings in a personalised and flexible way,” he adds.
Simple management with e-Customer and courtesy services
Customers will be able to manage their personal and savings insurance through e-Customer, Occident’s digital platform, which already has over 430,000 active insured parties. From any device, customers will be able to access information such as the accumulated value of the savings product, the monthly payment amount or the details of the grouped policies.
Finally, the Customer Account offers insured parties free courtesy services such as legal advice by phone and medical advice by phone. Through the telephone legal advice service, customers can consult a lawyer 24 hours a day and carry out some administrative procedures. The telephone medical advice service is available 365 days a year and allows users to contact a health professional by phone or video call.
With this launch, Occident is strengthening its commitment to providing flexible solutions tailored to its customers' needs, innovating and responding to new market trends.
