Occident enhances the user experience on its new website

"Thanks to its design and architecture, the website now offers an intuitive and differentiated browsing experience, including various visual modules to explain the company's main coverage options and services in a streamlined and interactive way."

Occident has launched its new website (www.occident.com) to its customers, with a design that prioritises user experience and facilitates the search for useful information by means of simple and intuitive browsing. The website has been conceived with a mobile first approach to adapt to the current multi-device scenario; in fact, visits to the website via mobile devices represent 40% of the total.

To prioritise its user experience, several interviews and an analysis of user browsing behaviour were conducted, as well as a test to adapt and optimise the website to its real needs. In addition, the website incorporates a highlighted section with customers' ratings.

With the aim of prioritising proximity to visitors, another new feature is the implementation of WhatsApp or We'll Call You, with a floating action button that provides direct access to the different contact channels and is accessible throughout the entire browsing process. In its first month of activity, the WhatsApp channel has already channelled 10% of total contacts. In addition, the website incorporates a search engine for locating Occident offices, with access to their respective websites. Thus, Occident takes another step forward in its omnichannel approach, making it easier for the customer to contact the company using the channel that best suits their needs at any given time.

One of the main new features of the new website is its clear customer orientation.  Some products are accompanied by a module called “What you need at all times of your life” offering protection recommendations to each customer based on the stage of life they are currently in.

On a visual level, Occident has opted for a simple, minimalist design, where the protagonism is given to a series of illustrations created exclusively by renowned artist Javier Jaén, and which are associated to various insurance categories, and symbolise the way in which Occident offers protection in each of them.  In this way, on the home page and at first glance, a visual menu with illustrations created by the artist corresponds to the most interesting insurance policies for the customer.

Occident has the technological support of the professional services of Oracle Consulting in Oracle Cloud Services, with the latest security technology. The website's design and usability has also been developed by Multiplica, its digital partner.
