Occident is once again the principal sponsor of the boutique Starlite Occident festival

"The insurer is once again giving its name to this summer's prestigious music event in Marbella."

The Starlite Occident festival, which takes place from 14 June to 31 August, will again be supported by Occident as the title sponsor. This is the fifth consecutive edition of the prestigious event held in Marbella to be supported by the insurer as principal sponsor. This demonstrates the company's firm commitment to promoting music and culture.

More than fifty national and international artists will come together in the emblematic natural Nagüeles quarry, giving shape to an eclectic musical line up that transcends styles and generations. International groups of the standing of Take That, Jamie Cullum, Keane and Simple Minds will be taking to the stage at the festival; along with stars of Latin American music, such as Luis Miguel, Manuel Turizo, Camilo and Ricky Martin; and artists from the Spanish music scene such as Aitana, Taburete, Malú, Melendi, Omar Montes and La Oreja de Van Gogh. It is also worth noting that Starlite Occident will host Van Morrison and Sebastián Yatra's only concerts in Spain.

After the concerts in the Auditorium, which take place on a bigger stage this year to offer a better experience, this stage now being the largest fixed stage in Spain, the festival will turn into a fantastic outdoor nightclub with international DJs such as Robin Schulz, Claptone, DJ Nano and Juan Magán. In this edition, Starlite Occident will be the first in Europe to use a pioneering surround sound system. The Starlite Occident experience is complemented by a well-thought-out gastronomic proposal from five restaurants and a food hall located in the event complex.

“As a company that aspires to work closely with its customers, being with them at the important moments of their lives, we are proud to once again this year be involved with Starlite Occident, as music is a source of unforgettable experiences,” said Juan Closa, Managing Director of Occident. He added that, “the festival, which has reinvented the way live music is enjoyed to such an extent that it has become a leading international event, has established itself as one of our main ways of promoting culture and, in particular, live music”.

Sandra García-Sanjuán, founder and CEO of Starlite Occident, said, "I want to express my gratitude to Occident for placing its trust in our boutique festival for the fifth consecutive year. Their support and commitment have been key to the success of this event. Thanks to their collaboration, we can continue to grow each year and offer a unique and unforgettable experience to those attending."

Committed to sustainability and technology

Starlite Occident has redoubled its environmental commitment and is making progress in its goal of becoming a carbon-neutral event. The festival uses 100% renewable and non-polluting energy, and opts for intelligent transport and waste management systems, among other measures.

The Tur-Experience digitalisation project also stands out for providing a better experience for those attending the summer music event, allowing users to avoid queues, among other advantages. For the first time in a festival of this nature, a support service will be offered through the App to ensure that during the event, anybody can report in real time if they feel vulnerable and need assistance at the location shown through from their mobile devices.
