Occident reaffirms its collaboration with the Professional Insurance Brokers Association of Girona

"The insurer once again shows its commitment to brokerage in the counties of Girona "

Occident has renewed its collaboration protocol with the Professional Insurance Brokers Association of Girona for 2024. The agreement, which was signed between the Chair of the Association, Mercè Herrera and the territorial director for Catalonia and Aragón insurance brokers at Occident, Miguel Cortegano, reinforces the commitment of both entities to the professionalisation and development of insurance mediation.

With this agreement, Occident commits to contributing to promoting training activities and improving the professionalisation of the association's insurance brokers. It will also support the professional events organised by the Association, strengthening its presence in various key initiatives throughout the year.

The Association of Insurance Mediators of Girona will also offer Occident a prominent presence in its communication channels. In addition, the collaborating entity will have a presence at training events, workshops and seminars organised by the Association, as well as at the World Insurance Broker Week, one of the most important events in the sector.

This agreement also includes the participation of Occident in the Professional Guide of the Region's Members and in the Annual Meeting, a strategic meeting between the mediators and collaborating entities to strengthen ties and improve mutual collaboration.

"We are delighted to consolidate this collaboration with the Professional Insurance Brokers Association of Girona, a key institution in the development and professionalisation of our sector", said Miguel Cortegano, territorial director for Catalonia and Aragón insurance brokers at Occident. "We believe that this alliance will allow us to continue strengthening our relationship with mediators and contribute to the growth and continuous improvement of insurance mediation."

The Chair of the Association, Mercè Herrera, highlighted: “Counting on the support of Occident is essential for us to continue promoting and strengthening the profession of mediator in the counties of Girona.”

For Occident, the Association's network of agents and brokers, with more than 14,000 insurance brokers, is paramount in its business strategy. This channel represents more than 90% of its turnover, and serves as a direct link between the company and its customers. Thanks to their in-depth knowledge of the market and their ability to offer personalised advice, they have become essential figures in ensuring the satisfaction and loyalty of customers. Therefore, investing in the development of the sector is a priority in order to maintain excellence in customer service and innovation in the insurance sector.
