Occident strengthens its commitment to road safety with a new free vehicle inspection campaign

"The insurer strengthens its commitment to road safety with a new free vehicle inspection campaign, from 1 June to 31 July, for more than 1.3 million customers"

Every year, before the summer holidays, it's time to give your vehicle a safety check, especially if you are planning to travel by car. This type of verification allows us to identify and address any mechanical or safety issues before it becomes an incident on the road.

Due to this need, Occident has launched a new campaign aimed at its car insurance customers, offering a free vehicle check with the aim of increasing road safety. The campaign, which can benefit more than 1.3 million insured parties with vehicles for private use, such as passenger cars, monovolume cars, off-road vehicles and vans, will run from 1 June to 31 July.

This initiative has been designed to prevent breakdowns and accidents, especially during the months with the heaviest traffic. The inspection covers wheels and tyres, lights, brakes, windscreen wiper blades, horn, as well as the engine's overall condition, the battery, belt tension and liquid levels (power steering, coolant, wipers and oil).

"At Occident, the safety of our insured parties is our main priority. That's why we focus on prevention to ensure better protection and an improved driving experience, as well as providing the best service and coverage," says Rafael Moyano, Director of Motor Vehicle Insurance at Occident.

The inspections are carried out through AutoPresto, which has a total of 437 workshops and is the first garage network in Spain to receive the Centro Zaragoza sustainable certification. Insured parties who wish to benefit from this service need to contact Occident's Customer Care Centre (+34 917 83 83 83), where they will be assigned the workshop closest to their home, which will then contact them to arrange an appointment for the inspection.

Nearly 13,000 customers already have the free e-car Emergency service

In the automotive field, Occident strives to offer services linked to its car insurance policies that allows it to improve both the safety and the driving experience of its policyholders".

This service, aimed at customers who renew their car insurance, already protects around 13,000 Occident customers and consists of a device, managed via a mobile app, which allows the vehicle to automatically call the emergency service when a collision occurs (e-call). This helps to reduce response times to obtain help in the event of an accident. It also allows customers to request travel assistance directly via their mobile (b-call) and includes a geolocation service to locate the vehicle after it has been parked or in the event of theft.
