Occident strengthens its commitment to sport sponsoring the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona -1899

"The agreement between the insurer and the prestigious tennis club, which is celebrating its 125th anniversary, will last three years."

Occident and the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona - 1899 (RCTB-1899) have signed an agreement under which the insurer will sponsor the club for the next three years (2024-2026). The company thus confirms its commitment to promoting sport in general, and tennis in particular, through this new sponsorship agreement with one of the most prestigious sports institutions in the country, in the year of its 125th anniversary.

For many years, sport has been one of the cornerstones of Occident's sponsorship strategy. Last year, the company sponsored the Conde de Godó tennis trophy, organized by RCTB-1899. The Occident Foundation is also organising the eighth Xpress Tennis Cup, a tennis championship for children, whose aim is to encourage children to play tennis, prioritising values and fun rather than competition.

“At Occident we are firmly committed to promoting tennis, a sport that revolves around values that are fundamental for us, such as effort and improvement,” Juan Closa, Managing Director of Occident explained. “We are honoured to be taking another step forward in this commitment with our sponsorship of the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona, one of the country's most famous sports organisations, with strong links to the city of Barcelona,” he concluded.

The Real Club de Tenis Barcelona-1899 is considered the most prestigious tennis club in Spain, where the likes of Arantxa Sánchez Vicario, Conchita Martínez, Carlos Moyà and Rafa Nadal have learnt to play. Under the sponsorship agreement, Occident's logo will appear on the Club's different media and communication channels, and it will participate in the Club's different sporting activities, and in the tournaments and championships that it organises throughout the year.
