Occident strengthens its commitment to tennis with its third year as a sponsor of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell

"The insurance company strengthens its commitment to tennis and the values of sport, establishing itself as a key sponsor of the Trofeo Conde de Godó and reinforcing its connection with the city of Barcelona"

Occident reaffirms its commitment to sports, especially tennis, by sponsoring the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell – 72nd edition of the Trofeo Conde de Godó as the official insurance partner for the third consecutive year. In this edition, which will take place from 12th to 20th April, the sporting event introduces a new format with 32 players instead of 48, ensuring high-level matches from the very first round of this tournament, which is part of the ATP Tour 500.

As for brand presence both on and off the court, Occident reaffirms its commitment to fans by once again naming the Fan Corner by Occident, an exclusive space designed for the enjoyment of tournament supporters. The insurer will also have a stand in the hospitality area.

In terms of visibility at the tournament, Occident will maintain its presence on strategic display areas located at the Rafa Nadal and Andrés Gimeno courts, ensuring its prominence at key points of the event.

As part of its commitment to sports and the community, Occident, along with its Foundation, will lead a day of the Trophy Tour – an activity where the trophy travels to different locations around the city – in collaboration with the L'Hospitalet Tennis Club, in the days leading up to the start of the tournament.

In addition, the insurer will offer fans a unique opportunity to experience the tournament. Among the initiatives is a social media competition offering 3 double tickets to enjoy the full event experience. This includes access to the matches of the day, entry to the hospitality area, and a ticket to enjoy the culinary offerings in the Roof Top area of the venue.

Commitment to sustainability

The 2025 Conde de Godó Trophy strengthens its commitment to sustainability through initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact and promoting responsible management. Key measures include the reduction of plastics, the use of renewable energy, and improvements in waste management. In addition, it has invested in accessibility and the removal of architectural barriers to create a more inclusive environment. Since 2018, it has held the ISO 20121 certification for sustainable event management and the Barcelona Biosphere distinction for its commitment to sustainable tourism.
