Occident to give its name to the second edition of the Summerfest Cerdanya festival

Occidente joins the Summerfest Cerdanya as the festival's title sponsor, which will be renamed Occident Summerfest in its second edition. The new naming is the result of the merging of the traditional business companies of Grupo Catalana Occidente (Seguros Catalana Occidente, Plus Ultra Seguros, Seguros Bilbao y NorteHispana Seguros), the festival's main sponsor, under the brand Occident.

With this new collaboration agreement, the insurance group continues to invest in music as the backbone of its sponsorship strategy and strengthens its relationship with the music sector as a strategic commitment for the future. In the words of the Managing Director of Traditional Business of Grupo Catalana Occidente, Juan Closa, "with this sponsorship, Occident not only shows its close link to culture and that which surrounds it, but also reflects its support for this new proposal in La Cerdanya, an event that will help to boost the leisure of this area during the summer".

In addition to the new naming, the festival organisers, Clipper's Live and El Badiu, today reported on some of the main new features of the musical event, which will take place from 17 to 26 August in the Camí de Sant Marc de Puigcerdà (Girona). In this regard, the organisation has announced that Pablo Alborán will headlining the closing concert of the festival. The artist will be presenting his new album La Cuarta Hoja to the public in an evening of luxury entertainment where closeness and intimacy will be paramount and at which one of Spain's most successful artists will be performing of his entire reperiore of hit songs. Thus, Pablo Alborán will be joining a whole host of top acts, including God Save The Queen, David Bisbal, Ara Malikian, Miki Núñez, Rosario, Els Amics de les Arts, Dàmaris Gelabert, Taburete and Pablo López to close an eclectic festival line-up, making the Occident Summerfest Cerdanya the must-see summer event in the area.
