Plus Ultra Seguros has reaffirmed its commitment to adaptive sports by sponsoring the wheelchair basketball Copa del Rey tournament

"For the fourth consecutive year, the company is supporting the championship organised by the Spanish Sports Federation for Persons with Physical Disabilities (FEDDF)."

Plus Ultra Seguros is sponsoring the wheelchair basketball Copa del Rey tournament organised by the Spanish Sports Federation for Persons with Physical Disabilities (FEDDF) for the fourth year running. The insurer thus reaffirms its support for adaptive sports and the values it promotes, such as integration, overcoming obstacles and teamwork.

The competition took place in the La Roda sports centre and the Lepanto pavilion in Albacete on 5 and 6 June. The trophy award ceremony, which was held on the last day of the championship, closed the sporting event and was attended by the director of the Albacete branch of Plus Ultra Seguros, Cândido Griñán, and the chairman of the FEDDF, José Alberto Álvarez.

Griñán highlighted the work of organisations such as the FEDDF, "which facilitates access to sport for people with reduced mobility." He added that "championships of this type give greater visibility to adaptive sports and raise the awareness of society, a task with which Plus Ultra Seguros is fully committed."

Álvarez thanked the insurer for its support in this project. He also explained the importance of sponsorship, as "it gives people with reduced mobility the opportunity to engage in sports professionally, thus moving towards social inclusion."
