Plus Ultra Seguros renews its range of accident insurance with three new products

"The company offers a wide variety of guarantees depending on each product, such as refunding the Special for Self-employed Workers Scheme (RETA) fees in the event of temporary disability in the Individual Accident Insurance."

Plus Ultra Seguros, a Grupo Catalana Occidente company, has renewed its range of accident insurance with a view to offer insured persons adequate coverage in the event of possible incidents, giving confidence and peace of mind to them and their families. To make the policy as customised as possible, the company has developed three different products: Individual Accident Insurance, Collective Accident Insurance and Collective Agreement Accident Insurance.

The new insurance policies include coverage and common services in all products. These notably include services that cover the healthcare expenses following an accident, as well as the non-medical expenses arising from it (e.g. having a telephone, television or an extra bed for the insured person's companion). Similarly, each policy has specific guarantees to adapt to the needs of each customer.

The Individual Accident Insurance policy seeks to safeguard a person's interests both in the workplace and in their private life. For example, the insurer has added guarantees intended for professional groups with specific concerns, such as self-employed workers, including refunding their fee and daily financial benefits when the insured person is on sick leave due to accident or illness. This product also comes in two types: Accidents, which enables the coverage to be limited to work setbacks or extended to non-professionals, and travel insurance, which guarantees assistance in any geographical area, both in short and long-term trips.

Moreover, Collective Agreement Accident Insurance is designed to protect different groups of the likes of: a company's employees, members of a professional association, students of a teaching centre, etc. To make the product as customisable as possible, Plus Ultra Seguros has developed eleven different types of policy with specific guarantees according to the common link of the group members: professionals, companies (non-collective agreements), travel, family, education, leisure, associations and voluntary action, attending events and sportspeople, compulsory travel insurance (SOVI) and vehicle occupants,

Lastly, the Collective Agreement Accident Insurance has been designed to cover the risks arising from work-related incidents and other unforeseen events that a company's workforce may suffer. This product comes in two different types: a policy designed to protect national, autonomous or provincial sectoral agreements, according to the collective agreement with which the company is affiliated; and another policy, for private agreements.

Plus Ultra Seguros head of private customers, Susana Álvarez de Lara, indicated that these new products represent "a wide variety of options that allow each customer to take out the policy that best suits their needs." Álvarez de Lara also added that "the new coverage allows us to continue to progress in our goal of offering the most comprehensive insurance possible."
