Plus Ultra Seguros will sponsor the wheelchair basketball Copa del Rey tournament for the third consecutive year

Plus Ultra Seguros has reached an agreement with the Spanish Sports Federation for Persons with Physical Disabilities (FEDDF) to sponsor the 42nd edition of the wheelchair basketball Copa del Rey tournament. For the third consecutive year, the company will sponsor this tournament. The championship, organized by the FEDDF, will take place on 22 and 23 February at the Marqués de Samaranch Municipal Sports Centre in Madrid and at the Daganzo Municipal Sports Centre.

For the director of the agency network, institutions and marketing of Plus Ultra Seguros, Pablo Sampedro, the new agreement shows the insurance company's involvement in raising awareness of the barriers that people with disabilities face and their integration into society. "From Plus Ultra Seguros we are proud to support the FEDDF and initiatives like this, as they represent values that we share, such as effort, integration and overcoming obstacles," Sampedro added.

The President of FEDDF, José Alberto Álvarez, thanked Plus Ultra Seguros for the support it has shown in holding this type of event in recent years. He highlighted the importance of its collaboration in helping to raise awareness in society with events such as the 42nd edition of the wheelchair basketball Copa del Rey tournament.

With this sponsorship, Plus Ultra Seguros continues the support it has shown FEDDF in recent years. In addition to sponsoring the 42nd edition of the wheelchair basketball Copa del Rey tournament, the insurer has been collaborating for several seasons in the organization of awareness-raising events such as "Sports without adjectives" and sponsored the European Wheelchair Basketball Championship in 2017.
