Seguros Bilbao and Deusto Business Alumni promote students' talent and experience

"The insurance company will award 4 training scholarships with the aim of giving students in the school an opportunity to complement their learning."

Seguros Bilbao and Deusto Business Alumni have signed an agreement under which the company will award 4 training grants to students at the school. The scholarships are intended to support research into the impact of digitization in the insurance sector and the solutions that insurance can bring to the ageing of the population. With this new agreement, Seguros Bilbao aims to promote talent and propose solutions to the challenges facing the sector.

The agreement was signed at the Deusto Business School on the Bilbao Campus and the event was attended by Seguros Bilbao's Assistant Managing Director for Sales, José Manuel Ereño, and the General Manager of Deusto Business Alumni, Naiara Tobalina.

For Ereño, this partnership is special for Seguros Bilbao, as "it reiterates our commitment to educating and training young people". Ereño also stressed that this initiative also reflects "the company's desire to seek solutions to future challenges facing the insurance sector". Tobalina believes that the partnership with a prestigious firm such as Seguros Bilbao "is good news for our students and an opportunity for them to grow professionally".

To be eligible for the scholarships, which amount to 2,500 euros each, applicants must be final-year undergraduate or combined honours students at Deusto Business School and submit a document describing the research that will be carried out if they are selected, before 31 October.

From all the applications received, the jury will choose 4 people or 4 groups, based on the quality of the documentation provided and the potential of the research. The candidates selected will then carry out their research, the results of which must be submitted by 7 January 2020.

The candidates will be selected by a mixed committee, formed by Deusto Business Alumni - Alumni DBA and Seguros Bilbao, taking into account both their academic record and the quality of the project they hope to carry out.
