Seguros Catalana Occidente, six years supporting the Sant Cugat basketball club

"The insurance company has renewed its sponsorship of Unió Esportiva Sant Cugat club for the sixth consecutive year."

Seguros Catalana Occidente has renewed its sponsorship of Unió Esportiva Sant Cugat (UESC) for the 2022-23 season, and is the official sponsor of the city's basketball club for the sixth consecutive year. With this endorsement, the Grupo Catalana Occidente insurance company continues to support the basketball club and strengthens its historical relationship with the city of Sant Cugat del Vallés (Barcelona).

As part of this agreement, the insurance company brand image will be printed on the T-shirts of the men's senior basketball team, and it will also appear in the club's main pavilion and on its social network profiles when the match fixtures for the weekend are published.

With the start of the new season, the company commits to endorsing the various activities of the club with a view to promoting basketball among children and encouraging a healthy lifestyle. Among the annual activities carried out by the UESC is the basketball school and the Básquet City Summer Campus.  

The renewal of the sponsorship agreement was signed at the insurance company's head offices in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona) at an event attended by the President of Unió Esportiva Sant Cugat, Vicenç Beltrán, and the Director of Marketing and Communications at Seguros Catalana Occidente, Ignacio Boix.

According to Beltrán, Seguros Catalana Occidente's sponsorship is "an opportunity to promote the club's projects and activities throughout the year." Ignacio Boix praised the agreement and defined it as "a symbol of the insurance company's commitment to Sant Cugat del Vallés, a city that has been home to the insurance company's headquarters since the nineteen seventies". He went on to emphasise that "it is an honour to support a team such as the UESC, which promotes values that we identify with: team work, dedication and motivation".
