Seguros Catalana Occidente is committed to the growth of its mediation network and the promotion of digitisation as a means to connect to its customers

Seguros Catalana Occidente, a company of Grupo Catalana Occidente, recently held its sales conference, at which the company's positive development at a commercial level was highlighted and the annual action plan was presented, which has the firm objective of continued growth alongside its agents and brokers. The meeting, which took place in virtual format, brought together more than 3,000 of these professionals.  

The company celebrated its good commercial results, which were at levels prior to the pandemic, and its positive results in terms of profitability, as well as the Group's maintaining of a robust solvency position.

It then proceeded to launch its business strategy for the year. In the agency channel, the company will support agents in their investment decisions to increase their size and improve their productivity. It will also help them to gain efficiency and agility, through the optimisation of processes and the digitisation of transactional and administrative procedures. The company also highlighted its commitment to offering an omnichannel service through which the different customer relations channels are connected to each other, allowing it to provide an easier and continuous experience. For this reason, it provides agents with an integrated view of all customer activities in the different channels, which allows them to offer excellent attention, and it is planned to continue to train and accompany agents in the digitalisation of their commercial activity, helping them to have a digital presence and online projection.

In the broker channel, the insurer will advance in connectivity solutions with brokerage platforms to increase efficiency and productivity. The focus will continue to be on the advice and quality of service offered by the broker.

In addition, in line with new social trends and transformations, the company advanced to its mediators that it is working on the creation of innovative products and services, in aspects related to urban mobility, cybersecurity and the digitisation of services, among other areas. In this regard, in the field of digitisation, Seguros Catalana Occidente has recently launched a new app enabling users to access different services from any device, whenever and wherever they want.

Finally, the objective of continuing to work on aspects related to cybersecurity and technological developments has also been established, as well as progress in sustainability.

During the sessions, the Managing Director of Seguros Catalana Occidente, Juan Closa, thanked the mediators for the work carried out during 2021, highlighting that " you are the ones who accompany and know the needs of the customers, and you also have a deep understanding of the products and services offered by the insurance company." Looking to 2022, Closa focused on "promoting initiatives and technological tools that enhance commercial processes and the digital capabilities of agents and brokers. All of this, with the aim of increasing the satisfaction of our policyholders."
