Seguros Catalana Occidente sponsors the traditional El Pont de Vilomara i Rocafort race for the sixth year

For the sixth year running, Seguros Catalana Occidente is sponsoring the Pont de Vilomara i Rocafort (Barcelona) race, one of the most popular sporting events in Catalonia, the fifteenth edition of which will be held on 12 December. Through this collaboration agreement, the company once again expresses its commitment to one of the most well-known and well-established athletic initiatives in Catalonia.

On this occasion, under the slogan #ParaLosValientes (for the brave), funds will be collected for the SJD Paediatric Cancer Center at the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, one of the largest paediatric cancer centres in Europe that will open in 2022.

The competition has two routes, adapted to different levels: One of 10 kilometres on a mixed terrain with an accumulated gradient of 113 metres, and another of 5 kilometres with a gradient of 54 metres. In addition, the youngest participants will also be able to enjoy the day with two 500- and 1,500-metre children's races, one for the 6-7 and 8-9 age groups; and the other for 10-11, 12-13, 14-15 and 16-18 year-old age groups.

The Regional Director of Catalonia at Seguros Catalana Occidente, Josep Riera, pointed out that "it's wonderful to form part of an unmissable event for popular athletics that promotes such important sporting values as achievement, perseverance and effort."  He also highlighted "the objective of the initiative to promote sport among all audiences."
