Occident, the new brand of NorteHispana Seguros, continues to support women's football by sponsoring the Pauldarrak club

"This is the second year in a row that the insurer is sponsoring the Basque team."

Occident, the new brand of NorteHispana Seguros, becomes the official sponsor of the Pauldarrak women's football club for the 2023-2024 season. By doing so, Occident is promoting women's sport and its values and benefits in the Basque Country by continuing the partnership agreement that NorteHispana Seguros initiated with the team.

Thanks to its sponsorship, the Occident brand will be present on the sports kit, the club's creative activities and the events the organisation participates in at the local level.

In the words of Juan Sánchez Fernández, Commercial Director of NorteHispana Seguros, "our support for women's football, and specifically for Club Pauldarrak through our new Occident brand, encourages equal opportunity in sport and encourages its players to become a benchmark for all society as a clear example of effort and improvement, values that we share as an insurance company".

The club's chairman, Aitor Alonso Romero, thanked NorteHispana Seguros, soon to be Occident, for its support for the second consecutive year. "Your commitment to our club allows us to continue growing as a professional sports club", he declared.

(GCO) announced the merging of its traditional business companies (Seguros Catalana Occidente, Plus Ultra Seguros, Seguros Bilbao and NorteHispana Seguros) under a single brand, Occident. This merger is part of the corporate simplification process that the insurance group put in motion years ago and aims to achieve a more streamlined organisation that responds quickly and effectively to market demands.

The unification process will be implemented in two phases: first, the merger of Seguros Catalana Occidente, Plus Ultra Seguros and Seguros Bilbao will take effect, with the companies then operating under the Occident brand. In a second phase, at a later date, NorteHispana Seguros will also be included.
