Seguros Bilbao celebrates the 10th year of its sponsorship of basketball club Bilbao Basket

"With this collaboration, the insurance company continues to promote sport and strengthen its ties with the Basque Country."

Seguros Bilbao, a company of Grupo Catalana Occidente, has signed a sponsorship agreement with Bilbao Basket basketball club for the tenth consecutive year. In this way, the insurance company promotes the practice of physical exercise, while reiterating its commitment and strengthening its relationship with its home city.

As is customary with this collaboration, the company will continue to support the different campuses organised by the club from Biscay to encourage children to play sports. Seguros Bilbao will be visible in various formats around the stadium where the club plays its home games, as well as on the team's website.

Other sponsorship actions include the award of the 'Jugador más seguro' (most assured player) Prize, a recognition of perseverance and teamwork aimed at the club's players. The prize will be awarded at the end of the season at the Bilbao Basket facilities.

The agreement was signed at the Seguros Bilbao headquarters in a meeting attended by the president of Bilbao Basket, Isabel Iturbe, and the Seguros Bilbao Marketing Manager, Iñigo Garay.

In Iturbe's words, "our close relationship with Seguros Bilbao allows us to continue growing as a club and gives us strength to face the challenges that we face in this new season."

Garay emphasised that the collaboration represents "yet another example of the commitment that Seguros Bilbao maintains with society in Biscay and its basketball club, which stands out for its values of effort and improvement."

Bilbao Basket is the leading basketball club in the Basque city that forms part of the Liga Endesa. Among its greatest successes are the ACB League runner-up in the 2010-11 season and the Eurocup in the 2012-13 season.
