Occident improves its website to guarantee a highly accessible experience
2/18/25 | Occident
"The website has expanded its digital services, including new rate managers, to meet the needs of users looking for a 100% online contract experience "
The Occident website - www.occident.com - is now a year old, with a clear focus on improving the user experience. Since its publication, the page has evolved significantly, reaching a new milestone: A high standard of accessibility that strengthens the company's commitment to digital inclusion.
The measures implemented to guarantee accessibility include customisable visual adjustments, better contrast, scalability of sources, access without style dependencies and a logical and semantic structure. In addition, the website is fully compatible with multiple platforms and is optimised for assistance technologies, offering contextual descriptions of interactive elements and guaranteeing accessibility on mobile devices.
Thanks to these improvements, the site has achieved a high level of compliance with the Double A level of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) of the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This positions Occident as one of the companies that are ahead of the European Directive 2019/882, which establishes that all new digital assets must be accessible. With this progress, Occident reaffirms its commitment to providing an inclusive experience for all individuals, regardless of their abilities, and is already working on adapting other digital platforms.
At the same time, Occident has focused its efforts on developing digital tools that optimise the user experience. During 2024, new insurance rate holders were launched, such as those for Autos and Mascotas. These advancements complement the existing pricing tools for Personal Mobility and Home, consolidating an offering that meets the strategic needs of clients.
In addition, at the beginning of 2025, the NorteHispana Seguros website was integrated into the Occident website, coinciding with the company's merger. This process marked a significant step in consolidating the brand's digital presence under a single corporate identity.
Significant growth of the Occident website
In its first year, the Occident website has experienced significant growth. The volume of visits has increased by 64%, and organic traffic by 75%, thanks to the website's SEO optimisation. Quote requests have also increased by 53%. The WhatsApp channel, one of the new features of the page, has become a key tool in customer service. Finally, mobile visits, which already account for 60% of the total, demonstrate the success of a design conceived under the "mobile first" approach.
Occident continues to work to reaffirm its commitment to innovation, accessibility and customer satisfaction, becoming a benchmark in the digital field.
